Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Help Guide

What is Two-Factor Verification?

Two-Factor Verification is a process that requires two authentication methods to verify access to an account. Two-Factor verification can greatly reduce identity theft and unauthorized access to sensitive information.

Two-Factor verification is an optional feature that adds more security to your account.

First go to your profile from your account and follow the steps below:


To Enable Two-Factor verification from your Profile

  1. Log into your account – Open Profile
  2. Select Two-Factor Authentication to Turn On and follow on-screen steps to register a 2FA device.

To Disable Two-Factor verification from your Profile

  1. Log into your account – Open Profile
  2. Select Two-Factor Authentication to Turn Off and follow on-screen steps to deactivate a 2FA from your account.
  3. You can Turn Off Individual 2FA factors using the toggle Option placed next to each verification method.

Register a 2FA device

Choose your Verification method :


  1. Authenticator Application
  2. Email
  3. Mobile – SMS
  4. Both Email and SMS

How to enable Authenticator Application (TOTP) for Two-Factor Authentication

  1. Click on Authenticator Application.
  2. Setup an Authenticator App :
    1. Download an Authenticator app on your mobile device and follow the app’s instructions to set up an account with them.
    2. Scan the QR code or enter the Security key manually.
    3. Enter the Verification code generated from the authenticator to the application.
  3. Click Continue to complete 2FA verification with Authenticator Application.
  4. On completion of 2FA registration you should see Recovery Codes screen, these codes can be used on behalf of 2FA verification codes during login.
  5. You can choose to set this Option as your Default Option, during the 2FA verification process TOTP code is sent to the default option.

How to enable Email (OTP) for Two-Factor Authentication

  1. Click on Email.
  2. If Email already exists :
    1. You will receive a 6-digit verification code sent to your mail ID.
    2. Once you receive the code sent to your email, enter it into the box on the device you're using to sign in.
    3. Click Continue to complete 2FA verification with Email.
  3. If email ID does not exist :
    1. Please add your email ID in the box suggested and a 6-digit verification code sent to your mail ID.
    2. Once you receive the code sent to your email, enter it into the box on the device you're using to sign in.
    3. Click Continue to complete 2FA verification with Email.
  4. On completion of 2FA registration you should see Recovery Codes screen, these codes can be used on behalf of 2FA verification codes during login.
  5. You can choose to set this option as your Default Option, during the 2FA verification process OTP code is sent to the default option.

How to enable Mobile – SMS (OTP) for Two-Factor Authentication

  1. Click on SMS.
  2. If a Mobile number already exists :
    1. You will receive a 6-digit verification code sent to your mobile through SMS.
    2. Once you receive the code sent to your mobile SMS, enter it into the box on the device you're using to sign in.
    3. Click Continue to complete 2FA verification with Mobile-SMS.
  3. If Mobile does not exist :
    1. Please add a Mobile Number in the box suggested and a 6-digit verification code sent to your mobile through SMS.
    2. Once you receive the code sent to your mobile - SMS, enter it into the box on the device you're using to sign in.
    3. Click Continue to complete 2FA verification with Mobile-SMS.
  4. On completion of 2FA registration you should see Recovery Codes screen, these codes can be used on behalf of 2FA verification codes during login.
  5. You can choose to set this option as your Default Option, during the 2FA verification process OTP code is sent to the default option.

How to enable Both Email and SMS (OTP) for Two-Factor Authentication

  1. Click on Both Email and SMS
  2. If Email and Mobile Number already exist:
    1. You will receive a 6-digit verification code sent to your mail ID and Mobile through SMS.
    2. Once you receive the code sent to your Email and SMS, enter it into the box on the device you're using to sign in.
    3. Click Continue to complete 2FA verification with Email.
  3. If email ID or Mobile does not exist:
    1. Please add your email ID or Mobile Number in the box suggested and a 6-digit verification code sent to your mail ID.
    2. Once you receive the code sent to your email, enter it into the box on the device you're using to sign in.
    3. Click Continue to complete 2FA verification with Email.
  4. You can choose to set this option as your Default Option, during the 2FA verification process OTP code is sent to the default option.

How to login with Two-Factor Verification

  1. Enter your Email address / Mobile and password as you do normally.
  2. You should receive a 6-digit verification code for your default 2FA verification option.
  3. Enter the Verification code and on successful validation, you shall be routed to resp. application pages.
  4. During verification process if verification code is not working or verification code is not received, please click on “Try another way”.
  5. “Try another way” should give more options to verify 2FA

How to Default a 2FA factor

  1. Enter your Email address / Mobile and password as you do normally.
  2. You should receive a 6-digit verification code for your default 2FA verification option.
  3. Enter the Verification code and on successful validation, you shall be routed to resp. application pages.

How to use Recovery Key if I lose my 2FA verification code / device

  1. Enter your Email address / Mobile and password as you do normally.
  2. You should receive a 6-digit verification code for your default 2FA verification option.
  3. If you either lost the device where 2FA codes are sent or not able to receive 2FA verification code, you have an option to “Try another way”
  4. You should find Recovery Key option from the list.
  5. You should enter 10-digit Recovery key which was either saved or downloaded during 2FA registration process.
  6. Enter the Verification code and on successful validation, you shall be routed to resp. application pages.
